Description of Topic

Beverly Dunivent - Lecture The Quilts of New England, Past and Present

Quilt historian and AQS certified Beverly Dunivent will be speaking about and displaying the quilts of New England in a lecture entitled "The Quilts of New England, Past and Present".  She will trace the history of the quilts from this area from the earliest days with the settlers who made this country great up through the 20th century to the present.  Beverly will show samples of early work as well as the work of such distinguished quilt makers of today as Ruth McDowell.  Time will be available to answer questions pertaining to quilt history and to examine any quilts and tops that people bring.

Carol Doak - Lecture One Quilter’s Journey

Carol’s entertaining (and informative) lecture “One Quilter’s Journey” will be open to all quilters!

Patti Carey - Lecture  From Fiber to Fabric

Using slides, Patti describes the design and printing process of quilting fabrics.  A Question & Answer period is followed by a short show-n-tell in which Patti shows a selection of quilts made with Northcott collections, and passes along hints for making quick quilts.
