Sunday, June 25, 2006  Embarkation begins at 12:30 p.m., the ms Westerdam sails from Seattle at 5:00 p.m.   A welcome aboard luncheon will be served on Lido Deck beginning at 12:30 p.m. and registration and distribution of tote bags will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. in the Crow's Nest Lounge, there will be a one-hour private cocktail party followed by dinner in the beautiful dining room.  At 7:30 p.m., there will be a meet and greet reception for the quilters in the Queen's Lounge followed by sewing machine workshops in the classrooms for quilters not familiar with the use of BERNINA® sewing machines.  A late night buffet will be available.                                           

Monday, June 26, 2006  While cruising aboard our luxurious cruise ship, shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  A special presentation by Barbara Lavallee will take place at 2:00 p.m. in The Queen's Lounge (for those involved with quilting activities, a second presentation will take place on Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m.)  Quilting and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (pre-registration required). The Captain’s Welcome Reception and formal dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m.  From 7:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. open sewing, quilting, and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available (pre-registration required) and sewing machine use workshops will be available for quilters not familiar with the use of BERNINA® sewing machines.  Evening shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18A late night buffet will be available.                

Tuesday, June 27, 2006 While cruising towards Hubbard Glacier (arrival time is approximately 2:30 p.m.) aboard our luxurious cruise ship, shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  Quilting and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (pre-registration required) and a lecture with Roxanne Carter is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in The Queen's Lounge; for those quilters who are not interested in the scenic beauty of the glaciers (or those who have already cruised with us before on the spectacular Alaskan Explorer itinerary) the opportunity for sewing time will be available from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (pre-registration required).  Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m.  From 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. open sewing, quilting and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available (pre-registration required).  Evening shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  A late night buffet will be available.                                  

Wednesday, June 28, 2006    Our Port of Call is Juneau, Alaska, with arrival at 7:00 a.m., returning to the ship by 6 p.m.  An optional shore excursion to RainTree Quilting will be available. An extensive variety of shore excursions will be available through Holland America Line.  Breakfast and lunch will be served aboard the ship for those choosing to remain onboard.  Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m.  From 7:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. open sewing, quilting, and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available (pre-registration required).  Barbara Lavallee's second presentation will be held beginning at 8:00 p.m. in The Queen's Lounge.  Additional evening shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  A late night buffet will be available.                                  

Thursday, June 29, 2006  Our Port of Call is Sitka, Alaska, with arrival at 7:00 a.m., returning to the ship by 5:00 p.m.  Abby's Reflection quilt shop is within walking distance of the dock and an extensive variety of shore excursions will be available through Holland America Line.  Breakfast and lunch will be served aboard the ship for those choosing to remain onboard.  Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m.   From 7:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. open sewing, quilting, and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available (pre-registration required). Evening shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  A late night buffet will be available. 

Friday, June 30, 2006 Our Port of Call is Ketchikan, Alaska, with arrival at 7:00 a.m., return to the ship by 12 noon.  Breakfast will be served aboard the ship for those choosing to remain onboard.  The Silver Thimble quilt shop is located within walking distance of the pier and an extensive variety of shore excursions will be available through Holland America Line.  Lunch will be served onboard.  Open sewing, quilting, and craft classes with instructors and staff will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (pre-registration required). One of Beverly Dunivent's entertaining and informative lectures will take place in The Queen's Lounge beginning at 2:00 p.m.  A group photo session for quilters will take place today (a copy of the photo will be provided to each quilter registered on the cruise).  Evening shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  A late night buffet will be available. 

Saturday, July 1, 2006   While cruising aboard our luxurious cruise ship, shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.  From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. classes and open sewing will be available with instructors and staff (pre-registration is required) and Beverly Dunivent and Mimi Dietrich will offer entertaining lectures from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.  At 3:45 p.m., before an early dinner due to our arrival in Victoria, B.C., a farewell party with special recognition of the breast cancer survivors on the cruise will be held in the Crow's Nest Lounge. Shipboard activities and entertainment will be available for all cruise participants by Holland America Line.  Holland America’s Club HAL program offers special activities for children ages 3-18.   For quilters preferring to remain onboard instead of  touring Victoria, B.C., a show and tell party will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Optional shore excursions will be available through Holland America Line.  A late night buffet will be available.

Sunday, July 2, 2006  We will return to Seattle at 7:00 a.m. and begin debarkation at 8:30 a.m. 

Motor coach transfers to/from the cruise ship to/from SeaTac airport will be available through Holland America Line.  A form for requesting these transfers, as well as roundtrip motor coach transportation for Western Washington residents, and other optional activities will be provided in your cruise confirmation packet.  Confirmation packets will be mailed upon receipt of your registration form and registration deposit.
