Description of the class project |
|
Lisa Moore “I Spy Alaska with a Twist” |
This class project uses Alaska focus fabric prints in a twisting setting and is a great project to remember your cruise! It's a fast quilt, easier than it looks, and appropriate for beginners. Quick piecing and organizational techniques will be taught, and machine quilting of the piece will be demonstrated. A choice of two different pre-cut kits will be available. One is mixed Alaska wildlife and the other uses a custom designed, exclusive “Sitka” fabric. |
|
Lisa Moore “Alaska Reflections” |

Focus fabrics inside interlocking rings give plenty of opportunity to show off your Alaska experience in fabric. Lisa has developed this pattern into a no-sew class, exclusive for the cruise. Several options of ring construction techniques will be offered, as well as a unique method of making this table runner top without taking a stitch. Pre-cut kits will be available in either the rainforest or in the custom designed, exclusive “Sitka” fabric. Kit includes backing and batting. |

Judy Irish “Machine Quilting” |
Take the fear and mystery out of machine quilting on your home sewing machines. Judy’s fearless approach to quilting is based on doodling and non-technical designs which you create yourself. No marking, no copyrights, and no nervous break-down. You will have FUN playing with a variety of threads and see where your imagination will take you… With this “no rules” method, you really can succeed and gain the confidence to go home and practice on your own quilts. |

|
Kathy Woods “Memory Quilt” |
Beginning with a pre-assembled wall hanging size quilt top included in the class kit, this class will focus on embellishing a personal memory quilt of your Alaskan cruise using additional supplies in the kit as well as souvenirs collected during the cruise – after five Alaskan cruises, Kathy has some great ideas to share with you to assist in your “collecting” of additional embellishments during visits in port cities and while aboard the ship! |
|

Her love of the berries of the Northwest inspired Carol to design this class project featuring wool appliqué using a buttonhole stitch with a few additional embroidery stitches. Quilters in the class will receive a jar of Carol’s Five Berry Jam, a favorite of her friends and family, as a gift from Carol. Carol promises success and lots of fun for those in the class. Your pre-cut kit will be ready to begin stitching at the start of class. |
